About Me
Dr. Charis Au is a Medical Doctor (MBBS, University of Melbourne), Family Physician (GDFM, NUS), and Fellow of the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (FACNEM). She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health from NUS and certification in Aesthetic Medicine. After a decade in conventional medicine spanning accident and emergency, internal medicine, family medicine, psychiatry, and aesthetic medicine, she saw too many women falling through the cracks: dismissed, told everything looked normal when they clearly did not feel that way, or handed another prescription for their symptoms. That drove her to functional medicine and a more comprehensive, patient-centred way to practise. Her approach blends evidence-based medicine with functional medicine principles and practical lifestyle coaching. She believes better health should not require extreme routines or restrictive diets. Instead, she builds personalised, sustainable protocols that work with your life, not against it. Her clinical breadth across family medicine, internal medicine, psychiatry, and integrative medicine (ACNEM) gives her a rare ability to see the full picture: gut health, hormones, nervous system, nutrition, and the mind-body connection. Every consultation is a root cause investigation, not a band-aid. Dr. Charis helps busy women and families get to the root causes of their symptoms: fatigue, gut issues, hormonal imbalance, sleep disruption, mood changes, skin conditions, and weight management. She is passionate about empowering women with the knowledge, tools, and support they need to take ownership of their health.
