About Me
Dr Alla Demutska is a registered Clinical Psychologist (DPsych, Monash University) with over fifteen years of experience across Australia, Singapore, and internationally. She holds AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) clinical endorsement, a recognition that certifies her to practise psychology in Australia at the highest clinical standard. She is a Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor and a member of the Singapore Psychological Society. Her clinical work centres on women in midlife (roughly 40 to 55) who are professionally accomplished yet navigating identity shifts, perimenopause, burnout, and patterns rooted in early attachment and trauma. Her approach is relational and nervous-system-aware, drawing on CBT, EMDR, Schema Therapy, ACT, DBT, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and somatic methods. Alongside individual psychotherapy, Dr Alla runs a closed group programme for women in the second half of life. She is Clinical Director of Counselling and Psychotherapy at The School of Positive Psychology in Singapore, where she designs curriculum, teaches, and supervises psychotherapy students at Masters and Doctorate level. She has also supervised master's students in both Singapore and Australia, and doctoral students in Singapore, through James Cook University's clinical psychology programme. She has published in peer-reviewed journals on topics including trauma, acculturation and mental health, COVID-19 compliance and wellbeing, irritable bowel syndrome, and discourse neuroscience.
